Geluso
plays
processed bass, Macbook Pro, midi controllers, and sound samples,
loops and effects of his own design.
Mr, Geluso is a New
York based musician, educator, sound artist, engineer and
producer. He started his professional music career
releasing his first single in 1992. Since then, he has been
credited for hundreds of commercial music and sound
projects.
After earning his Bachelors of Science degree in
Electrical Engineering, Paul attended New York University where
he studied music technology completing his Masters of Music in
Music Technology degree. As the chief audio engineer at
Harvestworks Digital Media Arts for more than 10 years, he was
immersed into the audio art scene, working with a vast array of
musicians, composers and experimental media artists who use sound
in their creative work.
His has composed music and sound
scores for live performance, film, video, installation art and
dance presenting original work at major art and performance
institutions Internationally. He has received grants for
composition from the New York State Council for the Arts, Meet
The Composer and the James E. Robinson Foundation.
Currently,
Paul is teaching at New York University and producing new artists
for Vurse Media LLC (www.vurse.com), an international music
production and artist management company he co-founded with Manex
Ibar from SONY classical in 2004. In addition, he is
developing surround sound software for Digidesign's ProTools with
Audio Research Labs.
Paul resides in the Catskill region
of New York with his wife Aliki.
